Every now and then, a product comes along that isn’t designed to be faster or lighter. It’s designed to bring more people into the sport. That’s exactly what Indiana has achieved with the Wake Thief Scooter Package. At first glance, it looks like a dock-start board with a removable handle. If you manage to connect a wave from a boat and become a proper Wake Thief, the foil still carves beautifully while maintaining plenty of support throughout the turn. It’s remarkably forgiving without ever feeling boring. The three fuselage positions allow riders to choose between maximum stability while learning or a noticeably looser setup once confidence increases. Likewise, the 75cm aluminum mast delivers impressive stiffness. Every pump feels direct, with very little energy lost through unwanted flex.

One of my favorite aspects of this package has nothing to do with the foil itself. Everything fits inside a backpack. That completely changes how you approach sessions. Instead of driving to the same spots every weekend, I found myself throwing the backpack on my bicycle and exploring the city in search of new places to ride like a small dock, canal or marina.
