The NEW VAYU Aura V5

VAYU have come out with edition 5 of their Aura wing. Let’s take a look.

The new VAYU Aura V5 is the next development of the popular Aura series, keeping a familiar shape while introducing distinctive new details underneath the skin. The canopy layout now features radial wingtip seams and revised spanwise seams with built-in skin
tensioning, for a cleaner, more responsive wing with improved strength and durability. The profile has been revised for improved balance and handling, built from a hybrid mix of Teijin 5×5 and 2×2 ripstop with Dimension-Polyant T835 X-Ply windows. The Leading Edge tube places an extra-strong ALUULA FX86 center combined with Challenge DKC 160 and Teijin Dacron, with a blended stiffness profile extending to the wingtips for friendly, forgiving handling. The Aura V5 comes with a Click Boom V2 for easier hand placement and the option of VAYU’s exclusive Pistol Click-Boom, carrying forward the balance and playful handling the Aura is known for in a cleaner, more refined package.

Technologies

TRI-FORM 3X is VAYU’s proprietary three-material Leading Edge technology, combining ALUULA DKC 160 with dual-density Dacron in a layered construction. Each material is placed with purpose: ALUULA provides ultra-high tensile strength and minimal stretch; the outer Dacron layers offer abrasion resistance and directional flex control. The result: quicker acceleration, improved handling in gusts, and a lighter, more reactive feel in every move.
