Armstrong’s new DW releases

There's two new Armstrong DW boards hot off the press! Adventure awaits.

DOWNWIND MK III BOARD

[DETAILS]

The Downwind Mk III board is all about progression whether you’re just figuring out downwinding or pushing the limits of surfing downwind in short period skatepark conditions. The displacement hull design works wonders to increase paddling speed and help you get on foil, and the refined outline keeps things fun once you’re flying.

DISPLACEMENT HULL: Bump catching made easy.

The speedy new displacement hull makes getting onto bumps easier than ever. It’s quick and efficient so you can get up to speed without needing perfect paddling technique.

OUTLINE: Ready to carve.

The Mk III’s outline is shorter and slightly narrower than the prior Downwind board for improved maneuverability when on foil. Combined with the Forward Geometry foil tracks, this board wants to rip turns.

ROUNDED RAILS

High performance that's highly stable.

Despite the reduced dimensions, the Mk III remains super stable thanks to its rounded rails which make the board’s roll stability more consistent and predictable so you don’t find yourself suddenly thrown off balance.

DOWNWIND OCEAN BOARD

[DETAILS]

Building on the legacy of the popular Downwind Performance board, the Downwind Ocean is slightly more compact and maneuverable while also being a faster paddling shape. The core evolution lies in its hull design which is now displacement rather than planing, leading to greater paddling speed and straighter tracking – without needing the length of the prior Performance board.

DISPLACEMENT HULL: Access ultimate speed.

The new displacement hull results in greater paddling speed and straighter tracking, perfect for chasing down open ocean swell. It also now requires less effort to get up to speed, so when you’re digging deep for that last popup of the run, the board’s giving you every advantage possible.

OUTLINE: Surf the entire run.

The Ocean is shorter than the prior Performance board per volume. Combined with the Forward Geometry foil tracks, it's ready to lay some snappy S turns all the way down your run

ROUNDED RAILS: Put down the power.

The new shape features more rounded rails and softer chines that provide a consistent, comfortable stability so you can put down paddling power. The flatter deck now provides a wider standing area so you can get those feet whenever you want them for maximum control at Mach speeds.
