Our team riders were already in the Canary Islands for a competition, so we asked them one simple question: want to go on another adventure, one island over? A few missed ferries and overstuffed board bags later, we landed on a raw volcanic island, windy nearly every day and hit by swell all year round.
We rode mellow waves only a foil could love, chased open-ocean swell far off the point, and found a perfect left-hand point break on the last day. Above all, we got the team together for a real adventure.
Yes, we needed to shoot content. But above all, we wanted to get the team together and go on a real adventure. That’s what has driven us since 2009: the feeling of flight, the line ahead, and the joy of riding together.
