FREEWING Ultra-X vs Classic Canopy

FREEWING tests the groundbreaking Ultra-X canopy material against traditional woven canopies

Ultra-X is not just any material; it features a revolutionary 3-layer laminate construction. At its core, a woven base layer, reinforced by an ultra-light PE mesh that handles the primary load, topped off with a low-stretch 0.25 mm film. This offers four times the durability of conventional materials, providing unmatched performance without additional weight.

Join us to see the future of wing sports materials in action, and discover why Ultra-X is the choice for those who demand the best.

WHY ULTRA-X?

DURABLE AND LIGHTWEIGHT
86 gsm and 4 times more durable than the woven canopy. The outer lightweight woven layer offers the first level of durability through abrasion and puncture resistance. This is further enhanced by the unique ultra PE grid which supports the primary load and deals with shock loading, absorbing any blunt impact. The lightweight film ensures long-term stability of the fabric, with all three layers achieving the same weight of a traditional single-layer canopy.

LOW STRETCH
The key to the low stretch is the high-performance lightweight PE film layer. This layer sits on the inside of the wing, ensuring that it is protected from abrasion by the outer woven layer, ensuring the best combination of low stretch and long term durability.

ULTRA RESPONSIVE
An additional benefit of the extremely low stretch is the incredible responsiveness. Riders' inputs are translated to immediate responses in the rig, delivering that crisp on demand performance.
