Foilers come to Surf Mexico for professional coaching, world-class gear, and diverse conditions ideal for every stage of progression. Our instructors offer structured lessons that accelerate confidence and control. We provide full gear packages, so you can travel light. With light-to-moderate thermal winds, gentle swell, and clear water, it’s a safe and rewarding place to learn or refine your riding. We also offer eFoil tours and clinics for no-wind days, ensuring you’re always on the water.
FOILING SETUP
Our main spot in Bucerías provides a wide sandy beach and easy launch, with steady side-onshore winds and plenty of open space. Conditions range from smooth morning water – perfect for eFoil or beginners – to afternoon thermals reaching 12–20 knots. Nearby spots like Punta Mita and La Cruz offer variety, from mellow rolling swells to flat lagoons. The bay’s reliable thermal pattern and forgiving sea state make it ideal for practicing gybes, tacks, and wave riding. Safety support and rescue cover are always available during lessons and rentals.
WHEN IS BEST TO GO
The foiling season runs November to May, with the most consistent winds between December and April. These months bring clear skies, warm water, and steady sea breezes that peak in the afternoons, perfect for wing sessions and progression. eFoiling and SUP foiling are available year-round.
NO WIND?
When the wind drops, guests can switch to eFoil sessions, paddleboarding, or prone foiling nearby breaks. We also organize whale-watching tours, snorkeling trips, yoga sessions, fishing trips and local food experiences around Bucerías and Sayulita. The region’s relaxed beach vibe and warm hospitality make every day enjoyable, on or off the water.
Fly into Puerto Vallarta (PVR), just 25 minutes away. Transfers or taxis are easily arranged to Bucerías.
A medium-aspect 1000 to 1250 cm² foil and 4 to 6 m wing, or simply rent our full setups on-site.
