THE LOWDOWN

This premier wingfoil destination in Greece offers consistent thermal sideshore winds ranging from 16 to 25 knots throughout the summer months. The center is conveniently situated directly on the beach at an elegant palm beach hotel, complemented by a pleasant tourist promenade to enhance your experience. Located in front of the four-star Hotel Blue Horizon in Ialyssos, Rhodes Island, this spot is easily accessible from European airports and is a top choice for wingfoiling.

The rental facility offers JP-Neilpryde, Tabou-GA, and Duotone equipment in all sizes. Additionally, secure storage for personal gear is provided within 30 meters of the waterfront. The open sea, combined with sideshore wind from the left, creates amazing riding opportunities. Beginners are afforded ample time to familiarize themselves with the sport during their initial sessions and can easily return to their starting point. With warm and deep waters, rider can conveniently begin directly from the beach. The center operates from 9:30a.m. to 7p.m., accommodating a wide range of riding.

FOILING SETUP

The consistent wind conditions provide excellent opportunities for wingfoiling, featuring gentle breezes in the morning ideal for cruising or learning to wingfoil, and stronger, steady winds in the afternoon that create dynamic bump and jump environments, along with appealing waves suitable for riding along the coastline.

WHEN IS BEST TO GO

The center commences operations in mid-April, offering approximately 60% wind coverage suitable for riding. In May, this increases to 70-80%, while from June through September, over 90% of days experience winds exceeding 15 knots. October marks the final month of the season, again providing around 60% rideable days. In summary, the entire season presents consistently favorable conditions for foiling, allowing for near-daily activity on the water.

The island provides exceptional opportunities for sightseeing, featuring a picturesque bay ideal for snorkeling and an array of activities such as visiting the waterpark or exploring the UNESCO-listed medieval city of Rhodes.
