Kiteboarding Cruise offers live-aboard wingfoil and kiteboarding adventures around Antigua and Barbuda, taking guests to remote, uncrowded spots only accessible by catamaran. Founded in 2013, the family-run business combines expert local knowledge, world-class riding and relaxed sailing for couples, families, friends and riders of all levels.

INTRODUCTION

Kiteboarding Cruise runs wingfoil and kite catamaran-based trips out of Antigua and Barbuda from November to July. Rather than staying at one shore-based center, guests live aboard and move between the best spots. The best foiling locations across both islands’ coasts are only accessible by boat. That’s the whole point: a catamaran’s shallow draft gets you to safe places no center can reach, to enjoy the entire place for yourself. They work the reef-protected flats of Antigua or head north to Barbuda for uncrowded spots like Cocoa Point and Spanish Point, with downwinder options between them. Groups are usually a mix of couples, families and friends. Family trips work extremely well, also non-riders fit in easily, and the catamaran carries a skipper who doubles as foil instructor and a second crew, your personal chef.

WHERE THEY’RE BASED

Kiteboarding Cruise was founded in 2013 by Tomaz and Dasha, and is now run as a family business with the kids growing up around it. They operate three Lagoon catamarans, a 40, a 45 and a 52, with a year-round schedule split between Antigua and Barbuda and the Grenadines in winter, and the Greek Cyclades in summer.

HOW LONG THEY’VE BEEN FOILING

Tomaz has been on the water since childhood – competitive swimmer, windsurfer since his teens, professional captain since 18, kiteboarding since 2010, wingfoiling since 2021. Dasha runs operations and management. The skippers are working captains who wing and kite themselves, with years of boat and on-water experience.

WHERE THEIR CLIENTS ARE FROM

Mostly USA, then Canada, UK, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Emirates and across Europe. Skill levels span the full range, from complete beginners learning to wing on flat lagoon water, up to advanced foilers coming for the downwind swell. Families and mixed-ability groups are a regular part of the mix.

WHAT MAKES THEM DIFFERENT

A live-aboard catamaran that moves with the wind, in a corner of the Caribbean where the best spots are still uncrowded. The catamaran’s shallow draft lets them reach spots no charter boat, ferry or center can access. Antigua’s reef-protected flats give you flat water and full trade winds side by side for every level, with nice swell on the south side, while Barbuda gives you the same with turquoise water and scenery diversity. In 2013, foil charters weren’t really a thing yet. They started small, grew season by season, and they’re still learning today. Across four destinations now, over 60% of their guests come back. They own their catamarans and set them up for foiling, this is not chartered boats swapped between weeks. Read the reviews, or better, ask a returning guest, most of whom they now count as friends.

HIGHLIGHT FROM A RECENT TRIP

Last season a longtime guest and friend, Nawfal, called last minute. He’d need a boat, might come alone, might come with friends. They found a slot for him on their Lagoon 52. A few days before boarding he messaged: “Can Rita Arnaus comes with us?” Hell yes. Rita turned out to be a strong wingfoiler already, progressing fast that week. But the moment nobody forgets is the afternoon she went out on her kite. The whole boat gathered at the back deck watching her tricks close up in the golden hour. A sunset dinner ran deep into the night. The next morning they sailed to Barbuda, and the week kept giving from there.

WHAT’S LINED UP FOR THE NEXT FEW MONTHS

Their Antigua and Barbuda season opens 14 November and runs through July, with periods still available on the Lagoon 45 and their flagship Lagoon 52. Two ways to book: as a private charter for family or friends’ group, setting your own week, or as a cabin on a shared trip – skip the hassle of filling the boat and meet likeminded people along the way. Foiling Magazine readers get 10% off with the code ANTIGUA-FOIL-MAG10, valid on all 2026/27 Antigua and Barbuda trips (through 31 July 2027). If you miss this season, their Greek Cyclades summer opens 19 June 2027.
