This is a foil paradise at the end of the road! Gone Surfing Crete is a boutique water sports center on Kouremenos Beach, East Crete – and one of the pioneers of foiling in Greece. First windsurf foil in 2017, then wingfoil, and now parawing – we’ve been at the front of the foil revolution from the start. Think of us as a delicatessen, not a factory: personal, friendly, yet stocked with one of the biggest foil collections in Europe – more than 50 wings, 25 boards, and high-end carbon foils from Duotone, ready for every level.
With real-time coaching via Forward WIP headsets, a safe flat-water bay, and the famous all-day Meltemi wind, Kouremenos is as reliable as it gets. Add the laid-back Cretan vibe, and you’ve found your Endless Summer.

From first flights to advanced freestyle, our huge range of premium gear means you’ll always have the right setup. FOILING SETUP
Kouremenos Bay is wide, safe, and uncrowded – flat water near the shore with only light chop further out. No ferries, no hazards, no mass tourism – just space to fly. The Meltemi builds by late morning and blows until sunset, averaging 20+ knots for weeks on end.
Our center sits just 15m from the beach, so you can step out of the shade, grab your rigged gear, and be on the water within seconds. With chill-out areas, freshwater showers, and plenty of space, the setup is designed to keep you comfortable between endless sessions.
WHEN IS BEST TO GO
From June to September, the Meltemi delivers non-stop sessions – day after day of reliable wind, with July and August packing the most power. September and October bring the true Endless Summer: warm water, steady wind, and fewer people on the beach. Wingfoilers especially love this period, with perfect conditions to ride all day in a more relaxed atmosphere.
NO WIND?
Crete is full of adventures off the water. From Kouremenos you can hike dramatic gorges, swim in hidden coves, or explore wild beaches just minutes away. History lovers can visit ancient Minoan ruins and traditional mountain villages, while foodies can tour local wineries and olive oil farms. Evenings in nearby Palekastro keep it authentic – cozy tavernas, beach bars, and the relaxed Cretan vibe.
