REELING Point Break Wing Foiling

Slingshot team Sam Light and Fred Hope head to the western edges of the Sahara for some point break action…

In our latest video, Sam Light and Fred Hope take a trip to Dakhla, Morocco, home to wind, desert, and one of the cleanest right-handers we’ve seen. The goal: ride good waves and film a few sessions that capture what wing foiling looks like at its best.

The Location:
West Point is a reef close to Dakhla that works best on medium swell and steady wind. The wave peels for hundreds of meters and lines up perfectly for long, down-the-line foiling. The crew timed it right and scored back-to-back days of rideable swell and warm conditions.

The Vibe:
No fanfare, no crowds, just two riders and a remote setup with plenty of room to move. If you’re into travel sessions that highlight good waves and smooth riding over high production edits, this is one you’ll probably enjoy.

The Gear:
Sam and Fred are both on Slingshot’s new One-Lock system, Slingwing V5s and NXTs as well as Flow Craft Boards in this shoot. Check out the details below:
