FOILING NAZARE

Big wave rider Andrew Cotton on how foiling has formed part of his recuperation process after that notorious back-breaker slam in 2017, from the UK's Severn Bore to the hallowed waters of Nazare…

One year one from the wipeout which broke my back surfing giant waves at Nazaré, I’m finally back after a long road of recovery. In this episode I foil under the famous lighthouse in Nazare and re visit my foiling mission to the Severn Bore. I hope this vlog gives you an insight into the thought processes, training and preparation to be ready and amped for the new big wave season. Follow the series and see how I deal with the first big swells of the season mentally and physically.
