Albatross

The odyssey of Ludovic Dulou…

OXBOW is proud to launch its new production : THE ALBATROSS.
This 52-minute documentary film is dedicated to its team rider Ludovic Dulou. More than an intimate and authentic portrayal of a high level athlete, this movie trace the odyssey of a man who had to face his fate.

Ludovic is a french waterman living in the Basque Country. Swimming, prone paddling, big wave surfing and from now on hydrofoiling, this 49-year-old lifeguard dedicated his entire life to learning the ocean, riding it and cultivating endurance sports. Even if some people would describe him, Ludo, as a strange customer, since the beginning he stayed true to his values. After going through a painful time, the man kept writing his own history, by putting himself, body and soul fully into his passion – in search of this new life he always dreamt for.

A real anthem to freedom, this film – The Albatross – relays this story. For 5 years the Oxbow’s teams followed Ludovic from his sporting and human adventures, his paddling races from Molokai to Oahu in Hawaii, his mystical sessions on an  – Entre-deux-mers – tidal bore, until this, his hydrofoil cross between two of the Canary Islands.
